Within 20 years the number of elephants currently populating the Asian continent will no longer be enough to ensure species viability. Today in Laos the 1,300 remaining wild elephants are in a critical situation and survive under alarming and unsustainable conditions.
By participating in ElefantAsia’s activities you will be supporting the protection and survival of one of the world’s most iconic species. The extinction of the Asian elephant would constitute an ecological tragedy of global proportions, and would be an irreversible loss of one of the founding pillars of Asian cultural heritage.
You can change the destiny of the elephants of Laos by expressing your support, donating to our veterinary and breeding programs, purchasing our merchandise or by taking part in one of the elephant-friendly tourist activities endorsed by ElefantAsia.
